05 Feb Sending Boats from the West Country to Japan!!!
On this episode of what is in the container…
Our regular customer, Shozo Matsuo has been receiving boats from the UK, via West Country Boat Repairs for the last few years. He simply contacts the office with a list of dinghies he requires and leaves it in our good hands to source and ship them to him in Japan.
This time he required 4 second hand RS Fevas for a training centre. We sourced the boats for him and collected them at our base in Lydney, where on Wednesday 29th January we loaded them into a container on the back of a lorry and sent them on the start of their voyage to Japan.
Shipping costs are in fact a lot lower than people expect as the containers that bring over so much from the Far East, head back there empty.
