09 Jul It’s Firefly Storm Season!
We are currenly the DHL of the Firefly world – Collect, Fix, Return!
Most Uni’s have broken up for Summer, so we are busy repairing and servicing fleets of Fireflies, getting them (and their trolleys/trailers) in tip top condition for the new season in September. School sailing is about to finish, so we expect Fevas et al soon too!
Some Uni’s are lucky enough to have willing Sailing Club committee members working behind the scenes to deliver them to us, but for most, we are using our partnership with Sailboat Deliveries to pick up and return the boats. The 6 boat trailer comes in very handy!
We know students have a ‘banging time’ but the damage never ceases to amuse (and for Kimberley delight) us! We’ve recently completely repaired and checked over fleets from Cardiff and Brimingham, repairing obvious damage, including scrapes, holes and damage casued by the trolleys.

Not just damage repair
We can also check each boat over thoroughly to make sure it’s 100% ready to sail. As well as checking the hulls, we can check and repair/replace spars, blocks, lines and everything else, so that you don’t have to worry about doing all those niggly jobs during the all-important freshers weeks, or about the halyards snapping on the first race day, when you’re hoping to put in an early win over your biggest rivals!
