09 Dec Weymouth to Alderney and back in a Wayfarer!
Intrepid Gloucestershire adventurer Jeremy Warren, from Thornbury Sailing Club, sailed his Wayfarer from Weymouth to Alderney and back and from Milford Haven to Ireland and back this Summer.
West Country Boat Repairs carried out a thorough overhaul on the boat in early Spring, to make make sure everything was in good shape and fit safety extras for long distance sailing.
We’re pleased to report that the boat held up very well. Jeremy said “What a great bit of kit for sailing offshore!”
Jeremy and his sailing partner Phil Kirk broke the record for sailing round the UK in a dinghy in 2014, beating the previous record of 76 days by a massive 43 days! Read all about it here
